Junction Networks Wins American Business Award as Company of the Year

OnSIP has earned VoIP provider Junction Networks the 2012 Silver Stevie for Company of the Year — Business Services. It's the third consecutive Stevie for Junction Networks, which won a 2011 Stevie for Best Management Team of the Year — Product Development and a 2010 Stevie for Best New Product of the Year — Telecommunications (for its My.OnSIP web-based call management interface).

The business VoIP company was recognized for its daily commitment to VoIP phone service, but also singled out for Junction Network's role in two disaster-related business VoIP phone service efforts: Keeping the city of Smithville, Texas connected while threatened with wildfires (with cell and landline service already incapacitated), and getting a waterlogged NYC restaurant's phone system back up and running after Hurricane Irene.

The Silver Stevie is not to be confused with the coveted Silver Sow that WKRP's Les Nessman had his heart set on. The Silver Stevie is a big deal, and also not fictional. The Stevie is a well-respected business honor open to businesses of every size and every industry. It takes its name from stephanos, the Greek word for crown. Stevies have been awarded since 2002.
