According to Informa Report, 50 Cellular Subcriptions per 100 People

Wireless phone subscriptions, up 18% this year to 3.3 billion, is due greatly in part to increased cell usage in emerging markets such as India and China, according to Informa Telecoms and Media.  India itself is expected to grow to 40% usage over the next couple of years.

VERIZON Chooses LTE for It's 4G Technology

As already expected by the industry, Verizon has confirmed it is dropping CDMA and WiMax and plans to use Long Term Evolution (LTE) as it�s 4G technology. The announcement follows recent news of successful initial trials of LTE by the LSTI.
