Washington, D.C., August 22, 1996 (DLD DIGEST) -- Destiny Telecom International, Inc., has entered into an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Oregon Attorney General's Office. The Oregon AG alleged that Destiny misled some distributors about potential earnings from selling pre-paid long-distance calling cards. Destiny does not admit any violation of the law, but has agreed to repurchase at full price all products and mandatory sales aids from distributors who quit the program. Destiny also agreed to refrain from using hypothetical earnings projections, furnish sales kits at cost, eliminate "front-end loading" sales of product to distributors and prepare and distribute a procedures manual for all distributors to follow. If you're thinking about getting involved in any type of distributorship program, be careful. Call the National
