Hosted PBX is your phone system in the cloud. For many businesses that require a no-hassle phone system with all the fundamental features, Hosted PBX is an easy decision. This will only become more so over the next few years as the old-style PSTN (public switched telephone network) finally fades away for good.
Hosted PBX uses internet technologies like SIP (session initiation protocol) to transport and terminate your voice calls. SIP is vastly more efficient and less expensive to use than older voice technologies like PRI. Depending on your current situation, you can save up to 50% on your current phone company line charges when you switch to SIP Trunking.
